One of the core components of our content strategy was to create as much video as possible. As an artist-friendly organization, we consistenly profiled our artist community. Surveys and data told us that tips and tricks had great performance and were highly in demand.
UI and UX
The carousel on the homepage let us feature our top articles. Large imagery with headlines maintained an editorial feel while pushing the always visual nature of our business. Articles included various media types such as video and playlists while also driving e-mail sign-up and surfacing applicable content.
Over 2000 respondents helped us gain a better understanding of who our readers were, and the type of content they were interested in consuming.

To keep readers engaged we developed a bi-weekly newsletter that featured new blog content and enabled us to merchandise new Pond5 products and features.
