Orbital Bombardment

The invention of smartphones, and more specifically the iPhone, paved the way for an explosion in mobile gaming. To tap into that market, I partnered with good friend and iOS guru Donald Angelillo to create a next-gen missile defense mobile game.  

Within the first 3 months, OB broke the top 10 in it’s category and saw an average rating of 4.5 stars. A partnership with Playhaven saw over 20,000 downloads in a 48-hr window.

Art Direction

The fantastic visuals were inspired by Miyazaki while maintaining an original feel. Each stage had a unique and cohesive concept driven by a thematic color scheme and culminated in a boss battle reminiscent of Contra.

Released at the same time as Angry Birds and was in the Top 10 with them!
